Job Description:

As a Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager at [Company Name], you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of our warehouse and logistics functions. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all warehouse operations run smoothly, from receiving and storage to order fulfillment and shipping. You will also manage a team of dedicated professionals and play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards for quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

* Efficiently plan and manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and inventory management.

* Ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules.

* Maintain and optimize warehouse layout and organization to maximize space utilization and accessibility.

Logistics & Transportation:

* Develop and implement logistics strategies to streamline supply chain operations.

* Collaborate with carriers and freight partners to negotiate competitive rates and service agreements.

* Monitor transportation costs, track shipments, and resolve any issues or delays.

Team Leadership:

* Lead and inspire a team of warehouse and logistics professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.

* Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement to drive operational excellence.

Quality Assurance:

* Implement quality control and assurance procedures to maintain the highest standards in all operations.

* Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.

Process Improvement:

* Continuously evaluate and optimize warehouse and logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

* Introduce innovative solutions and technologies to improve operations.

Reporting & Documentation:

* Maintain accurate records and generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).

* Analyze data to make informed decisions and drive operational improvements.

Customer Satisfaction:

* Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

* Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.


* Some form of higher level academic qualification such as Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

* Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.

* Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and supply chain best practices.

* Knowledge of Engineering with an understanding of engineering drawings, measurements and materials

* Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

* Proficiency in using warehouse management software and ERP systems.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities.

* Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented approach.
