Falcon Green is currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to work with a Tier 2 main contractor. The site engineer will work across a groundbreaking £116M mixed-use development project based in Cambridge that is due to run well into 2025.
As a Site Engineer, you will directly report to the Senior Engineer on site and work collaboratively with them to drive standards and ensure the project is finished on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting out during various stages of the build process: foundations, earthworks, timber frame, faade, and internal layouts
Checking subcontractors setting out and works as required
Managing all aspects of the works from substructure to superstructure and onto landscaping.
Working closely with subcontractors which involves keeping a daily diary of levels of work for each subcontractor
Producing QA inspections and reports
Going to weekly management meetings and liaising with other members of staff such as Site Clerks, Quantity Surveyors, and Health Safety Officers
Instrument usage: Able to use EDM, Rotating laser level etc. as this will be required for as built surveys, QA, snagging etc.
Efficient with construction management software programs i.e. Procore. We use tablets on site to record QA so will need to be able to use tablets/android.
IT efficient, use of software programs, Microsoft programs, emails etc required.
Good knowledge of design, drawings, details, specifications etc.
Good knowledge on substructure, drainage, utilities etc.
Attendance at daily and weekly progress meetings, coming prepared on the status of the works, any issues delaying works etc.
Opportunity to move onto facades, roofing etc if looking to progress into other fields and gain more knowledge on other aspects within the industry.
The ideal candidate will have:
oMinimum 2 years experience working as Site Engineer
oEngineering Degree/Diploma or related degree
oConfident using Microsoft Office programs
oWorking knowledge of equipment and systems e.g. AutoCAD
