About My Client: My client is a dynamic and innovative company based in the heart of Central London, near Bank. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
GCP Infrastructure Management:
Design, implement, and manage robust and scalable GCP infrastructure solutions.
Ensure high availability, security, and performance of GCP environments.
Automation and Scripting:
Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
Implement infrastructure as code practices to streamline deployment processes.
Collaboration with Development Teams:
Work closely with software development teams to understand application requirements and optimize GCP infrastructure accordingly.
Provide support and guidance on best practices for GCP integration.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and maintain security measures in GCP environments.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Establish monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents promptly.
Optimization and Cost Management:
Identify opportunities for optimizing resource utilization and cost-effectiveness.
Monitor and control GCP expenses through efficient resource allocation.
Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of networking concepts and GCP networking services.
Expertise in implementing security controls and best practices in GCP.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
Certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Architect or Google Professional DevOps Engineer are highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
