The recruitment group is proud to be working with one of Europe's biggest breweries is launching its base of operations in the UK and we're looking for an Engineering Manager to be responsible for various site legal compliance, utilities recording, reporting, and usage optiminsation projects. Main duties and responsibilities of an Engineering Manager: Execute departmental maintenance strategy (people, plant and utilities). Deliver performance KPIs for maintenance (such as Maintenance cost / HL; Plant availability; Engagement; and LeanTPM implementation). Implement effective maintenance planning strategies to deliver improved plant reliabilities at an improved cost. Produce utilities consumption forecast for the accountancy team. Manage utilities and facilities budgets delivering continuous improvements of cost. Produce performance reports for the entire brewery (kWh/hL, hL/hL). Ensure delivery of Utilities KPIs through effective engagement of entire site. Contribute, support and challenge the site engineering team. Act as site duty holder and manage high voltage / domestic electrical systems across the site. Deliver facilities of a standard appropriate for a brewery practicing GMP. Manage embedded Facilities Management contractor (ISS) to deliver great service at an acceptable cost to the business. Utilise best practice world-class manufacturing techniques such as advanced problem-solving methodologies to resolve chronic or recurring plant issues. Manage site environmental agenda and all site duties with agencies and other government bodies. Ensure statutory compliance for the utilities and facilities departments. Experience/knowledge requirements for an engineering manager:
Structured problem evaluation & solving skills. Chartered Engineer (IEE, IMechE, IChemE) Knowledge of Planned maintenance systems to manage the company's Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Knowledge ISO systems such as Environment, H&S, Food Safety and Quality. Knowledge of world-class manufacturing techniques & standards. Ability to maintain healthy but robust relationships with colleagues and suppliers. Experience in Engineering Management roles on complex fast-moving sites. Experience in FMCG industries with a preference for food or drink manufacturing. People development skills including coaching to maximise performance. Experience in operating within the framework of standards and compliance systems. Practical application of Lean / TPM manufacturing techniques and use within a manufacturing environment.
