Tree Inspector – Full time position
Working for the Leicestershire County Council, within the Forestry Office at County Hall, Leicester, you would be working as a Tree Inspector.
The position is to work in a geographical area within Leicestershire and Derbyshire, inspecting Trees.
This includes access and inspecting the Trees, reporting upon the condition and area of the trees and trees within the area. Ascertain the ownership of trees on private land and provide technical information for the serving of notices to remedy defects.
You will also be requested to undertake specific inspections to gather information on the progression of Ash die-back in Leicestershire.
Also, to maintain and update computerised tree inventories and inspection records, issue work instructions to contractors where required, and carry out a range of other forestry and arboricultural related tasks.
Experience and knowledge required: -
* Minimum of 3 years practical experience of forestry / arboriculture /tree health.
* Knowledge of identification of trees and shrubs and the defects and diseases they have.
* Full Driving licence and transport.
* Good IT skills.
* Minimum of BTEC or C & G level in arboriculture.
* Keen eye for detail.
* Will to travel.

Wages depending on skills and experience, up to £14.43 per hour
