Open ended, full time (35 hours per week)
Are you an experienced Reservations Account Manager looking for a fresh challenge? This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join our Business Development Team, where you will be responsible for nurturing, developing, and maintaining large account relationships, and optimizing conversations across our 4 hotels and summer commercial stock (+3,000 beds).
The University of Edinburgh, through its Accommodation, Catering and Events (ACE) department, manages a large portfolio of hotels, venues, student and seasonal accommodation. This includes year year-round with circa 200 beds, 10,000 student bedrooms, which during the summer are used for large group bookings and individual leisure guests, and over 70 meeting and event spaces.
The Opportunity:
The exciting role offers significant opportunities to make a difference, joining us at an exciting time following a period of significant investment in our hotels. The post holder will be integral to the future success of our hotels and summer accommodations and will play a key part in driving revenue performance
You will be responsible for:
The ownership, conduct new business development and account management for existing clients.
Optimize conversions of business proposals and managing all enquires in a proactive manner.
Build and maintain an effective database of current, past and potential customers
Generate sales through Fam trips and show round and represent the company at exhibitions and events.
Coordinating the delivery of operational activities for existing and new accounts, fostering good working relationships with personnel at all levels within Accommodation, Catering and Events and other departments of the University of Edinburgh.

We are looking for a Reservations Account Manager who has:
Proven experience working in a similar role within the hotel industry.
Be confident and have knowledge and experience in working with hotel technology including; CRM, and PMS.
Passionate about delivering the highest standards of customer care.
Ability to make decisions with conviction and confidence.
Smart personal presentation and polite and friendly manner.
