Position: Teaching Gym/Fitness Coach TA
Location: Park Gate
Full time/Part time
Payment: £13 to £14 per hour

We are seeking Teaching Assistants who specialise in physical training and are available ASAP. Your role will be to work in either one school on a longer term/permanent basis, or you can work on a flexible 0-hour contract where you work as and when you choose to and you may work in various school. This is a great way to get experience if you are seeking a career within fitness and education. 
As a Fitness Coach/Teaching Assistant you will be working within the class to support the class teacher with their lessons, you will be working alongside a team of support staff in class, and you will be working on a 1-1 basis with SEN students. You may also be required to assist teachers going off site to deliver Outdoor Education such as Rock Climbing, Paddle Boarding, Sailing etc. 

To be successful in this role it is desirable if you:

Have experience working within a school setting
Have experience working with children and/or adults with learning difficulties including ADHD, SEMH and ASC
Have experience in Sports/Physical Education/Outdoor Education
Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant in a school
Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning and support them in their social, emotional and personal wellbeing
The successful candidate must:

Be nurturing, enthusiastic and positive
Have some kind of sports background/experience
Have experience working with children and/or SEN
Be confident working with challenging behaviour
Be resilient
To work with GSL Education as a Sports Coach, you should:

Have the right to work in the UK.
Possess at least 6 months of experience in an educational, healthcare or sports setting.
Maintain an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years.
Hold a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
