A leading financial services corporation is recruiting a Solutions Architect with solid domain architectural capabilities within Application architecture as our client embarks on a digital transformation programme. To succeed, you must demonstrate strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure / AWS / SaaS and PaaS platforms and implementation features such OS, Multi-tenancy, Virtualisation, Orchestration and Elastic Scalability.
 
Our client is entering a crucial phase of their digital simplification programme and requires the Solutions Architect to direct the business of new strategic and emerging technology trends associated with programming languages/frameworks such as .Net, C#, Java, and Python. 
 
This permanent role pays a total package of £92,000 to be based in Wolverhampton up to 3 x PW. 
 
Role overview/responsibilities: 

Responsible for enhancing and accelerating projects while ensuring the logical and physical architecture for a project aligns with the standards and reference architectures defined by the technical domain and enterprise architects; to deliver the architectural design of technology solutions, the solution architect must utilize knowledge of defined reference architectures, technology trends, and implementation experience in order to translate a business need into a solution blueprint that represents an end-to-end technical solution.
Design and lead the implementation of solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities and business requirements.
Take ownership of Application Architecture to support the Groups Enterprise Architecture function (utilizing LeanIX and other tooling).
Demonstrate experience using software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, application modelling techniques and application security industry best practices.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, Multi-tenancy, Virtualisation, Orchestration and Elastic Scalability).
Provide Architectural oversight for applications or integrations hosted within cloud platforms such as Azure / AWS / SaaS and PaaS platforms 
Analyze the business-IT Application environment (run, grow and transform the business) to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement (systems of record, differentiation and innovation).
Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes.
 
Essential skill set:

Strong Solutions Architectural experience within Development, Data or Applications is essential 
Details knowledge of Cloud-based solutions preferably in AWS or Azure is essential 
Detailed knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) and NoSQL Programming is essential.
Detailed knowledge programming languages/frameworks such as .Net, C#, Java, Python is essential.
Detailed knowledge of object-oriented design principles, coding practices, micro services architecture and RESTful API services is essential.
Detailed knowledge for developing/documenting Architecture Roadmaps, Standards & Patterns, and Business problems, including Scope, Functional and Non-functional Requirements, Solution Design and detailed architecture Blueprints is essential.
Salary expectations:
