Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking for a rewarding opportunity in the heart of Edinburgh? Our regional Law Firm client is seeking a dedicated Credit Controller/Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team. As a well-established regional law firm, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional legal services to their clients, and your role will be pivotal in ensuring the financial integrity of their operations.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

**Credit Control:** Your primary function will involve processing Firm and Client entries in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with the Law Society of Scotland Account Rules.

**Bank Account Management:** You will be responsible for monitoring our bank accounts, processing incoming funds, and managing outgoing payments. This role includes reconciling all bank statements, including EUR and USD accounts.

**Fee Notes and Credits:** You will check and process Fee Notes and Credits, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial regulations.

**Credit Card Statements:** Monthly reconciliation and posting of credit card statements will be part of your routine tasks.

**Supporting Finance Operations:** You will assist the Head of Finance with other duties as instructed, contributing to the efficient functioning of the finance department.

**Requirements:**

- Proven experience in credit control and finance administration.
- Familiarity with the Law Society of Scotland Account Rules is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.

This role is roughly 80% Credit Control and 20% other cash room duties.

This role is based in Edinburgh and after a period of training you will be able to discuss some remote working pattern. The position pays a salary up to to £28,500 based on experience
