Credit Control Team Leader | £27,000 - £32,000 | Bolton | High-calibre team | Supportive and social culture

Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with a high-growth business, based in Bolton, in their search for an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to lead a small team of two in a fast-paced, end-to-end role.

This business has witnessed significant growth in recent years and have attracted a best-in-class finance team under an established FD. Therefore, an ability to demonstrate a keen level of enthusiasm and a desire to succeed and input ideas for improvement is imperative for this role.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Chasing overdue invoices and payments in a timely manner
Working closely to resolve customer queries and problematic accounts
Building positive working relations with key accounts
Opening new accounts for customers, performing credit checks and terms reviews
Using initiative to suggest and develop any improvements to current ways of working
Overseeing the continued training of the credit control team
Weekly debtors meeting with team and management
Manage accounts inbox.
Monthly Debtor reviews
Escalating bad debt to legal process
Send 48 hr/7-day cease/7-day legal letters
Managing of all banking allocations in Sage & billing platforms
Managing of all monthly Direct Debit files and Direct Debit amends
Review accounts for W/O
Managing the DD process including issuing letters
Daily credit limit reviews 
Required Experience and Skills:

Previous experience of working as a Credit Controller
Previous experience in a Team Leader role (desired)
Able to effectively input ideas for process improvement
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good organisational and time-keeping skills
High attention to detail and able to take ownership of their role
Good IT and MS Excel skills
Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations
