Position: Credit Controller

Location: Birmingham

Employment Type: Full-time perm

Responsibilities:

Managing the end-to-end credit control process, including timely and accurate invoicing, payment collections, and account reconciliations.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure prompt payment and resolve any billing queries or disputes.
Monitoring and reviewing customer credit limits and payment terms, implementing necessary actions to minimise credit risk.
Conducting credit checks on new customers and assessing creditworthiness.
Chasing overdue payments and maintaining regular communication with clients to ensure prompt resolution of outstanding invoices.
Producing regular reports and analysis on cash flow, debtors, and credit control performance.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including the finance team and account managers, to resolve customer issues and optimise cash flow management.
Providing recommendations for process improvements to enhance the credit control function.Requirements:

Previous experience as a Credit Controller, ideally within the property or real estate sector is desired.
Strong knowledge of credit control principles, practices, and relevant legislation.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively handle difficult conversations.
Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work independently.
