This is an exciting role within a rapidly growing business and gives the opportunity for someone to join a friendly, down-to-earth and sociable finance team!

Our client in Manchester City Centre are looking for a hard working, bubbly and friendly credit control to join their team to cover maternity initially but as the business are growing, there is high potential that the role will go permanent towards the end of the contract.

There is plenty of scope to progress within the business and the company offer hybrid working; 2 days from home (Monday and Friday) and the rest of the week is office based (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

The main duties of the role will be -

- Reviewing and analysing aged debt and making high volumes of calls to recover monies.
- Agreeing debt collection targets and negotiating payment plans.
- Payment handling.
- Ensuring that credit notes are processed correctly, monitoring reasons for credit notes being raised.
- Identifying problem debts that require escalation and liaising with the Credit Manager as necessary.
- Allocating cash.
- Reconciling accounts.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required including invoice coding and running system reports.
