At Close Brothers we look to recruit individuals from all different backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick every box. We celebrate diversity, promote inclusivity and are open to discuss flexible work options to help you balance your work and home life.
Join Close Brothers Compliance Monitoring Team where you will assess the implementation of credit policy and quality assurance procedures across the Bank, in respect of credit underwriting and associated credit processes.
The key focus of the role is post credit underwriting assurance, to validate that the transaction sanctioned is the one written onto the balance sheet (with all / any conditions delivered including confirmation the correct asset is held as security and that it can be legally realised as part of recovery actions).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement a structured plan and methodology for credit risk assurance across the Bank.
Provide support and advice for risk and credit committees where necessary, presenting at these committees or to senior management in respect of emerging issues or incidents.
Coach and develop one credit analyst including empowering employees to take responsibility for their objectives and personal development.
Developing Our People:  as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
Experience of credit risk processes and quality assurance programmes
Experience of credit underwriting (ideally retail, SME, commercial and corporate)
Good written and verbal skills
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
Experience of people management
Wider risk analytical experience
