Department Assistant


FTC 9 months Part Time (21 hours per week)

£26,385 - £30,644 (pro rata) + additional benefits

We are looking for a Department Assistant to provide administrative and organisational support for our Operations Groups Senior Leadership Team through the planning, support and delivery of documentation and diaries as well as assisting in organising events and producing communications for colleagues across the Operations Group. The role is 21 hours per week the distribution of those hours is flexible.

In this role you’ll be:

  • Building excellent relationships with our internal and external customers, guiding the team in consistently delivering a best in class service that meets our customer’s needs.
  • Supporting managers in their delivery of operational tasks and aims, including event management and organising diaries.
  • Actively supporting the department initiatives aimed at delivering change and the management of associated tasks.

You will have:

  • experience in calendar/diary management
  • a confident communication skills
  • an ability to work on own initiative whilst also working collaboratively across the organisation
  • confidence in working and building relationships with senior teams and external stakeholders, maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • ability to show excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise multiple duties in order to meet deadlines
  • ability to demonstrate a high level of competence in MS Offices packages
  • ability to produce clear agendas, effective actions, reports and other written material
  • ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in all areas of your work.

Department currently working remotely, successful candidate is likely to be onboarded remotely but with view to being office based long term.
