Broking Manager required to join a very well-respected independent insurance broker due to sustained business growth. This is a rare, newly created role due to the firms on-going success, and the need to develop and grow its commercial account handling team.
The core task for this role will be to manage the existing team of Commercial Account Handlers, and run the department to deliver exceptional client service. This will include ensuring renewals are completed, and sent out to clients in a timely fashion. You will also ensure documentation produced is compliant and in line with company standards, including the use of monthly audits.
You will also support the business with some Account Handling duties, including new business and renewals, particularly where you might be placing complex multi policy risks. You will negotiate with insurers, and also be responsible for keeping up to date with technical insurance knowledge and regularly informing the team of any changes.
The right candidate must have strong management skills and be comfortable in making sure the team follow the required protocols on a daily basis. It’s also important you have strong organisational skills to ensure all daily tasks and audits are completed on time.
Industry knowledge and experience is very important and our client would welcome applications from those with a track record within Commercial or Agricultural insurance. You must carry strong knowledge of the insurer markets as well as various commercial insurance products.
Ability to ensure IT systems are fully utilised is also essential. You’ll also be proficient on Excel as reporting will also be a big part of this role.
