Data / MI Reporting Analyst

This is an exciting, newly created position, which has been established to provide integral support and assistance within a Data Analytics function. It is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to greatly further develop their analytical skills and broaden their knowledge of the insurance market, as part of a successful team in an expanding Group.

This role will initially be focused on supporting the Senior Data Analyst across all areas of our business, however there will be a requirement for direct contact with key stakeholders across the business as they further develop and take ownership of key tasks.

With no requirement for any specific qualifications or insurance industry experience, the role is an excellent opportunity for someone with excellent base analytical skills and a strong desire to learn. The role will have a wide exposure to how the insurance industry works and most importantly, will allow the person to learn new tools and strategies for better data analytics

Key Duties

  • Extracting, manipulating and transforming data from a variety of Data sources (e.g. SQL Server, Excel and API's)
  • Create informative reports for key stakeholders on a variety of subjects
  • Take ownership of data integrity reporting
  • Participate in the ongoing automation of reporting
  • Help support upkeep of our data dictionary
  • Aid in creation of process documentation
  • Get involved in supporting key projects across the group, including the integration of recent acquisitions

About You

  • You will have excellent Microsoft Excel Skills, including but not limited to use of Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF and SUMPRODUCT
  • You will be a confident written and verbal communicator with the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
  • You will have a strong desire to learn Power BI to help create dynamic data visualisation reports
  • You will have a strong desire to learn to use an ETL tool (KNIME) to help automate reporting
