Your new job as a Commercial New Business Underwriting Account Manager will be working for a Brand New Broking based in the City will be working for a Technology based MGA which focus on Commercial Insurance Products for UK Small and Medium sized enterprises. Your new MGA pride themselves on their strong reputation, quality of its underwriting expertise and the utility of its proprietary technology platforms. Due to growth within the Commercial team a Commercial New Business Underwriting Account Manager job has arisen - someone who can act as a Wholesale Broker / Account Manager between a panel of Brokers nationwide and the in house Commercial Underwriting Team. This team are full of ambition and rapidly growing looking for talent - particularly in their New Business Team You will be working within their well-respected and dynamic Commercial New Business team.

Your new role
Working as a Commercial Account Underwriting Manager will be working within the Account Management team where you will be responsible for managing a panel of Nationwide Brokers, developing the relationships, maximising upselling and cross-selling opportunities and be able to build a reputable name in the Market. You will be handling Commercial Broking Houses (particularly with a focus on SME business) and develop relationships with them. You will be acting as a Wholesale Account Manager where you are dealing with the New Business queries, upselling / cross-selling, developing the Broker relationship so you can maximise business lines. Other duties will include assisting with renewal process including the preparation of submissions and the gathering of information, dealing with Insurer queries, confirming cover, process policies and chasing up outstanding documentation as and when required. Preparing documentation for customers in relation to their insurance requirements in partnership with the Account Executives and senior staff. Other responsibilities include the preparation of all technical documentation. It will be your responsibility to service the panel of Brokers and maxmise cross-selling Commercial Property & Liabilty products for your team.

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Commercial Insurance Broker, Commercial Account Handler or an Underwriting Account Manager within a Lloyd's Broker or National Insurance Broker ideally handling New Business Commercial risks will contribute to your success. You will have experience of dealing with SME Commercial premiums and be confident in your ability Upsell and cross-sell cross-class Commercial Products provide a service to clients from inception to completion. You will be extremely computer literate and competent in using Microsoft Office software . You will have undertaken progression towards professional qualifications, Preferably Dip CII qualified if not Cert CII and had a solid work history. You will also have the opportunity to earn a lucrative Commission package on the back of your cross-selling
