Whether you're new to care or experienced, you'll be making a world of difference when you join us as a Support Worker in Wem where Achieve together have a number of residential and supported living services that provide friendly, warm and caring homes for adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions, Behaviours that may challenge, Complex needs, Epilepsy, Moderate Learning Disabilities, Severe Learning Disabilities.

Location: Wem, Shropshire SY4 

Permanent: Full or Part Time & Flexible shift patterns

Salary: £18,069 per annum based on 39 hours per week.  

Additional information: Long days or short shifts patterns available, drivers preferred, although this should not deter your application.

Your new job:

Working as part of a friendly team, you will play a vital part in providing the people we support with care and be able to profoundly improve their quality of life. You willassist people who are unable to live independently by offering them the practical help they need, as well as emotional support. 

Highbury House, Wem: a large, detached 5 bed property, which includes a purpose-built extension to accommodate people we support with physical disabilities.

Roseville House, Wem: has a homely atmosphere, The property also has access to a fleet vehicle which can be used for people we support to access the wider community. Roseville House recently winner of Care Home of the Year Click here to see

New Street, Wem: is a newly built supported living service which consists of 4 self-contained flats. Individuals receive 1:1 or 2:1 support and this setting is ideal for individuals who struggle to live with others.

You do not need to have experience to be a Support Worker, although a basic level of English and Maths is required. We employ our Support Workers based on theirs and our company values.

New to care or experienced, some of our newer Team Members made career changes and were formally working in Retail, Hospitality, Warehouse, Security, Ex Forces, Sales, Administration, NHS, Social Care, Mental Health, Care Assistant, Outreach, Domiciliary Care, Health Carer and Residential Care.

As a Support Worker, you will hold "Keyworker" status: and will be permitted to book your vaccination through the national booking service on presentation of an offer letter or contract of employment.
