Are you a passionate Games Design Lecturer, looking to inspire the next generation of Computer Games Designers and Developers?

This position is for a Lecturer in Games Design & Development to deliver BTEC qualifications from levels 1 to 5, on a full-time permanent basis, starting in August 2021 - ready for the start of the new academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving and growing Computing Department. The Games Design and Development courses have proved increasingly popular in recent years, so the college will now also be offering the course up to HNC and HND level, so this is a great time to join. As well as playing an essential role in building the Gaming careers of the students, you can improve your own knowledge through a wide range of learning and development opportunities.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £22,600 - £33,700
  • Holidays: 38 days, plus bank holidays, plus 3 days Christmas closure days.

To be considered, suitable candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A Level 5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed)
  • A Degree in Games Design, or similar, or relevant Games Design vocational qualifications
  • Experience of teaching in a Further Education establishment (desirable)
  • Experience of teaching BTEC Games Design courses at different levels
  • Experience of using Unity & Unreal Games Engines

Those with no prior experience in teaching, but with the relevant Games qualifications, industry experience and the desire to begin their teaching career are also encouraged to apply.
