Due to continued success, we are looking for a talented Cloud Engineer to provide exceptional service to a growing and prestigious customer base including many blue chip and FTSE 100 organisations, working with a range of cutting edge technologies in a forward thinking and dynamic organisation.
The Cloud Engineer / Technical Services Engineer must have a strong background in application support and complex troubleshooting across a range of technologies. You will be involved in decoding technical software output and installation logs, SQL database investigation, troubleshooting, bug reporting, customising software tools and getting involved in testing newly developed software. Though this role is primarily troubleshooting applications, it is done so within Cloud environments and so the technical focus and skill set required is predominantly infrastructure/cloud/virtualisation technologies.
The successful candidates will ideally have a sound understanding of general infrastructure and virtualisation (Windows and/or Mac OS, Windows Servers, VMware/Citrix), networking principles, Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) and general application support experience. It would be desirable to have experience of SQL server including troubleshooting / SSRS / T-SQL. Programming / scripting experience with Powershell, VBScript or any similar language and software deployment experience with technologies such as SCCM would be benedficial, although knowledge of these technologies is not essential. Any interest or experience in Data Analytics / Big Data would be beneficial.
