We are excited to announce a new position has opened with a client of ours who are a leading manufacturer, designer and supplier of specialist medical equipment. They are looking for a Senior Project Manager for their Research and development team.

The Medical Systems Division represents our clients largest business domain and is the global market and technology leader for medical endoscopes. They aim to continuously find better and more economical solutions to medical issues which improve the well-being of patients, enhance the working environment for doctors and nursing staff and help to develop the overall performance of health care providers.

The Senior Project Manager of Medical Research & Development is responsible for leading and overseeing projects, programs and portfolios in line with the companies project management standards and guidelines.

Identify project goals (in and out of scope) and project deliverables in collaboration with project customer as well as relevant stakeholders and define project approach

• Define project plans including timeline, budget and resources, project team, providers and milestones

• Steer and monitor time, cost, people and quality within the managed projects as well and perform controlling and monitoring of financial aspects including project financial closing activities

• Analyse and coordinate all internal and external project stakeholders

• Work closely with project customer regarding status and progress

• Ensure management of changes in running projects in collaboration with

the project customer and project governance (e.g. scope, budget, timeline etc.)

• Identify and report project risks and initiate, implement and follow-up on

counter measures

• Plan and ensure continuous communication, involvement and alignment of all relevant stakeholders (including Operations, Sales & Marketing)

• Building, managing and motivating of teams as well as managing arising technical and interpersonal conflicts

Your qualification

• Degree in Engineering or Technology Management related disciplines or equivalent

• Professional qualification in project management e.g. Membership of APM, Prince II practitioner or PMP

Proven Experience Of

• Experienced Project/Senior Manager with at least 5 years experience of New Product Development / New Product Introduction project management with a track record of delivery

• Management of processes and activities concerning PCBA design and manufacture

• Management of cross-collaboration between Mechanical, Electronics, Software and Manufacturing Engineers

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident in front of project teams and senior management

• Strong leadership, team coach and facilitator, a builder and champion of people

• Generating ideas and selecting the best way forward according to requirements

• Development of Medical Devices (preferred)

• Working in a highly regulated and audited environment

Applied Knowledge Of

• New Product Development and New Product Introduction

• Relevant regulatory standards – ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14971, ISO60601, ISO61010, ISO62366 (preferred)

• Software development and programme management (preferred)
