Your new role
To support and assist a high quality and efficient Development, HR and Payroll service to all Departments within the Council and other external customers by anticipating issues arising and finding ways to remedy them. To assist the Payroll Consultants, Payroll & Pension Manager and HR Service Manager, Analytics and Payroll in ensuring that all HR and Payroll transactions are processed in an efficient, effective and timely manner with minimum supervision but within the context of priorities of the HR & Payroll service
What you'll need to succeed
You will require a good working knowledge of payroll processes, procedures and the legislation, or relevant finance experience. You need experience in prioritising and managing a number of issues at one time as well as the ability to work to tight deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The ability to take ownership for your work and have a future focused approach that can easily respond to different and changing demands.
