Job Ref: OJ 4091 Hampton's are proud to be working with a company who are in the process of setting up a new Independent Fostering Agency - they are in need of a Registered Fostering Manager in Manchester to join them on this exciting new journey. Despite this being a brand new IFA, the company are already established in other areas of social care.Salary: up to £60k (dependent on experience) + private healthcareThis Independent Fostering Agency is child-centred and therapeutically informed, providing a supportive environment by ensuring that you have access to the resources and tools, supervision, training and learning opportunities needed in order for a Registered Manager to be a key player in the Agency.The Agency is newly formed and is yet to be registered by OFSTED. The role of the Registered Manager will be to support the registration of the Agency. The Agency offers a therapeutic service and the Registered Manager will have a clear focus on best outcomes for the young people in care with the support of on sight therapists.Overview:As part of the role of a Registered Manger, you will be accountable for the strategic planning and development aspects of fostering resources and support functions in the company. As well as working in accord with the policies and procedures of the Agency relevant to the national guidelines.The Registered Manager will promote and work with an awareness that the Agency provides a professional fostering service for local authorities when placing children and young people. You will need to hold a Social Work qualification and current HCPC registration and have in-depth experience of working within a fostering service for children. The desired applicant will possess a high level and detailed working knowledge of relevant legislation and the impact on the fostering service.What the role requires from you:Recruitment, retention and supervision of carers ensuring positive outcomes for childrenManaging placements and ensuring children's wellbeing is of paramount importanceManagement of the service and Staff including managing supervising social workersPromoting and maintaining excellent relationships with Local AuthoritiesMonitoring record taking by staff and ensuring paperwork is filled in accordance to legislation and policy. Through this ensuring monthly/yearly reports and being provided.Ensuring any matters relating to the safeguarding of children are managed in line with regulations, national standards and best safeguarding practice.Ability to satisfy Ofsted as a Registered Manager (Fostering Regulations 2011)Proven staff management experience and leadership skills including recruitment, supervision, monitoring and disciplinary. (or working towards an accredited qualification)Knowledge of Ofsted, National Minimum Standards for Fostering services and Fostering Services RegulationsCommunication and administrative skills i.e communicating verbally and in writingBudgeting and financial control capabilitiesAbility to run the day-to-day practice and business aspects of the fostering agencyNegotiating and making placement enquries by liaising with Local Authorities.Ability to implement the vision and strategy of the Agency.Ability to review and monitor outcomes and make sound and safe decisions in all aspect of running the agencyWorking well on their own initiative whilst also engaging with the teamAn ability to maintain judgement when working under pressureProven ability to plan and prioritise workloadsEssential Requirements:Social Work qualificationRecent experience working either as a Fostering Operations Manager or as a Fostering Registered Manager for an Independent Fostering AgencyLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent qualification)Full UK Driving LicenceSalary: up to £60k (dependent on experience) + private healthcare If you are interested in this position or would like to have a confidential discussion to find out further details, then please email your CV or call Oliver on .
