ROLE OBJECTIVES

The Solutions Architect is responsible for selecting & designing technology solutions that enable Gazprom Energy to continue its journey of technology-led transformation. The successful candidate will lead on solving complex technology problems spanning CRM, Cloud adoption (IaaS & PaaS), customer mobile solutions, data utilisation (Data BI/Data Science) and phased decommissioning of legacy solutions.

You should bring a keen focus on "practical technology", namely what can realistically be done that delivers the business need, and be very comfortable working independently across a varied workload of projects & technologies spanning our end to end business.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop solution, application, information, integration, and infrastructure architectures for individual projects/initiatives/continuous improvements
  • Work alongside Business Analysts, Development Leads and Portfolio Delivery Manager to define & own the technology solution / application roadmaps
  • Own solution designs and interactions between solution components to ensure performance, security and scalability
  • Responsible for Gazprom Energy IT architecture within Gazprom Group enterprise architecture function (inform of changes to our internal architecture, influence where we require changes to Group shared platforms/services)
  • Provide technical assurance of technology solutions
  • To be aware of and comply with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Gazprom Energy Data Protection policy, Equal Opportunities policy, and the Email and Internet Acceptable Usage Policy, in addition to Fire and Health and Safety Regulations.
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties within the scope and purpose of this role as requested by your line manager and in line with business needs.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to explain technical detail to non-technical colleagues
  • Collaborative working style to engage with the rest of the team and ensure delivery
  • Takes accountability and full ownership of the tasks assigned and actively seeks tasks that have been missed
  • Ability to assess risk and provided recommendations for mitigations
EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstratable experience of solution and enterprise architecture from conception to end delivery
  • Experience with Microsoft cloud technology stack (Azure PaaS, Dynamics 365) is desirable
  • Experience of mobile application / public API architecture and security approaches would be an advantage
  • Experience with data architecture (specifically Data Lake or similar) would be an advantage
  • Experience with related technologies considered for right candidate
  • Experience of B2B Retail, especially Energy, would be an advantage
