Job Description

Role: Project Executive - Contract Management

Salary: Up to £23,158 per annum

Location: Manchester City Centre

Contract type: Permanent

We have a fantastic new vacancy Project Manager Executive - Contract Management to support the management of complex multi-disciplinary business support projects, working closely with individual Head of Departments. The projects are publicly funded through various government offices including MHCLG, GMCA and LCC.

Ensure project performance follows contract objectives and profiles and the services continue to meet the reporting and audit-evidencing requirements of project funders and to monitor the financial and results performance of the project, providing data for decision makers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking the planning, management, and implementation of projects, as appropriate
  • Project and contract management of the Service project work with the Head of Departments, business advisors and contract partners to ensure successful implementation
  • Work closely with the Business Growth Hub’s Contracts Team and support the process of issuing contracts, budget management, submission of claims and project monitoring. These include regular budget meetings to monitor expenditure
  • Ensure the flow of business documentation between the relevant services team and contracts team is timely, accurate and compliant
  • Support the Lead Project Manager on the evaluation of the projects, including procuring external supplier/s and liaising with them to ensure briefings are provided and subsequent learning is fed into future service design
  • Leading on the development of new reporting processes, considering resources and timescales and satisfying needs of all project stakeholders
  • Manage the collation of performance information in relation to performance management process
  • Research and analysis of service performance, as well as feedback from clients, to support the design of new approaches to storytelling and presenting the Hub’s business support offer
  • Supporting the production of regular reports for internal reporting systems and Boards

About you:

  • A self-starting team player, with a can-do, hands-on attitude and a strong desire to develop
  • Personable, professional with high levels of probity and integrity
  • Experience of working within a supportive role to administer publicly funded projects with defined targets and competing priorities
  • Administration of and accounting for public funds and exposure to audit
  • Ability to deal appropriately confidential or sensitive information

Requirements:

  • Recent experience of delivering advice and guidance as well as job or learning outcomes in a target driven environment
  • Proven ability to achieve positive results and outcomes
  • Proven ability to support the administration of complex projects which require professional, positive, and effective working relationships with internal and external colleagues
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to handle competing priorities
  • Ability to condense complex data to produce concise reports
