AUDIT MANAGER – Manchester - Competitive Salary – Home based

Our client is a Top 10 practice that is looking to expand their Audit team. They are looking for a career orientated individual to join their highly successful team in Manchester. Strong communication skills are essential, alongside a flexible approach to the workplace.  This firm fully supports working from home and will remain home based for the foreseeable future.

THE ROLE

As Audit Manager you will be responsible for profitably managing a substantial portfolio of clients in the office (or virtually), ensuring both an excellent service and making a significant contribution towards the overall future development and success of the office and firm.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing assignments in accordance with the firm’s standards and procedures and confirming arrangements with the client including likely costs and billing arrangements
  • Ensuring assignment quality at all times
  • Assisting with both internal and external quality assurance and ensuring any actions are completed in line with the firms professional standards
  • Briefing staff members on the client’s business and pre-assignment instructions
  • Supervising and controlling the completion of work and providing “on the job” training where required
  • Ensuring that the assignment is completed on budget and communicating with both the partner and client any anticipated overruns
  • Performing the firms review and completion procedures and attending the final meeting with the client ensuring the client receives the final accounts and commercial management letter on a timely basis
  • Ensuring the profitability of work in progress and billing clients in a timely manner
  • Communicating with the client on a regular basis to ensure an excellent level of on-going service throughout the year
  • Researching and preparing proposals for new work
  • Taking part in formal presentations to prospective clients
  • Attending client seminars and following up on contacts made
  • Maintaining an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and courses and fulfilling the institutes CPD requirements

THE PERSON

This role would be ideally suited to an experienced Audit Manager or Audit Supervisor that is ACA/ ACCA qualified (first or second time passes preferred).
