An entry level opportunity within M&A / Corporate Finance Advisory at a leading regional Accountancy & Advisory Practice, offering unrivalled exposure to mid-market transactions and long-term career development.


A well-established M&A / Corporate Finance Advisory practice with a high profile in Manchester and the Northwest, experiencing continued growth in demand for its bespoke Corporate Finance Advisory services. The firm has a track record in advising entrepreneurs, high-growth SME's and mid-market Corporate groups, and executing Acquisitions, Fundraising projects, MBO's / MBI's, Private Equity buyouts and disposals to Trade buyers.


Joining a strong, well-established team as an Executive, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of small and mid-market transactions with deal values in the £5m - £50m range. The clients you work with will typically be Entrepreneur-led SME businesses and Mid-market Corporate organisations (c.£10m - £200m t/o), and you will develop a strong understanding of the SME marketplace and how to work in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.

As your transaction experience develops, so will your career. You can expect to progress to Associate Director level within a few years, and potentially to Director in the future where your ability to drive transactions through to completion and leverage new work opportunities through your extensive network will be of paramount importance.

As an M&A / Corporate Finance Executive your role will involve:

  • Assisting in the preparation of transaction documentation - Information Memorandums, business, plans, financial forecasts / projections and financial models
  • Assisting with research work - preparing for new deal opportunities and pitches, approaching potential buyers and acquisition targets on behalf of clients
  • Providing support to Associate Director and Director in meetings with clients and funders, Lead Advisory negotiations and SPA, Heads of Terms and completions
  • Progressing quickly to Manager level with a higher level of responsibility on transactions
  • Developing a network of contacts within the North West Advisory community

You will be an ambitious Accountancy / Advisory professional able to demonstrate the following:

  • ACA / ACCA
  • Background within Top Tier Chartered Accountancy or Independent Advisory Practice
  • Good accounting and commercial skills, able to communicate effectively with Business Owners, Board Directors and Operational personnel
  • A strong desire to develop your career within M&A / Corporate Finance at a leading mid-market specialist
