The opportunity to be a true Product Owner, measuring your product against the wider roadmap!

The Candidate are supporting one of Manchester’s most lucrative software houses as they enter a period of substantial growth and internationalise as a scaleup. They are heavy on internal development and upskilling their staff across all levels and now looking to add a true Product Owner to their team. If you are looking for the opportunity to truly own your product, be the point of contact internally and externally as well as being accountable for measuring against the wider product roadmap, then this role may be for you!

As a Product Owner, you will:

  • Lead and manage your product from inception to delivery while aligned with the product roadmap.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to define and prioritise the product backlog.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to ensure the product quality.
  • Work closely with delivery teams so they understand new features/user stories.
  • Use data analysis to understand current customer needs.
  • Have ownership and accountability of your product.

  • Solid understanding of the full Software Development Lifecyle
  • Problem solving attitude.
  • Great at writing user stories.
  • Substantial experience within software delivery as a Product Owner
  • Confident, excitable, analytical
  • Exposure to JIRA/Confluence
  • Wireframing (desirable)
  • Strong communication & organisational skills
