Job Description

Acting as the region’s Business Specialist, this role will predominantly involve the sale of a range of chromatography systems; HPLC/UHPLC, GC and mass spectrometry instruments and associated detectors (UV, DAD, ECD, FID etc).

Your accounts will span a variety of industries including; pharma, biopharma, food & beverage and environmental etc.

In this position you will conduct the entire sales process; using the CRM system to contact accounts, set-up meetings (virtual and face-to-face), conduct calls/meetings, work closely with other team members (technical, application specialists etc) provide bespoke quotes and close sales, among general relationship management.

Candidates with any previous sales experience possessing a good understanding of chromatography or experienced analytical chemists looking for a career change are both encouraged to apply for this role, as full training will be provided.

Knowledge of HPLC is a must due to the technical nature of the sales process. Expertise or experience with mass spectrometry would also be highly advantageous but not essential.

This is a home-based role, with a car, laptop and phone provided as eventually there will be the expectation of travelling to local customer sites 3-4days per week.

In addition you will also attend high profile industry conferences and travel internationally when required.

Candidates must have a scientific degree - Chemistry/Biochemistry or similar, along with excellent communication and time management skills and enjoy working to deadlines or targets!
