Propel Finance is a disruptive challenger in Asset Finance, owned by Private Equity and led by a new and dynamic executive management team. We are a market leader in Asset and Vendor finance, with outstanding technology and service offerings, supporting equipment suppliers across the UK with bespoke finance programmes. With a regionally based direct customer asset finance offering and a partnership business which includes a partnership with Barclays to provide Asset Finance to their customers, we plan to expand aggressively, currently supporting approximately 40,000 SMEs, growing at 10,000 per annum. We are a multi-award-winning business, growing revenues at 20% pa, with plans to double origination and balance sheet over the next 3 years. Propel is a tier 1 funder, with access to significant funding lines to support its business growth.

Job purpose and description:

The Internal Account Manager is a pivotal role to ensuring the success of our exclusive partnerships with a Tier 1 bank and Nationwide Accountancy firm. Our Internal Sales Managers provide a telephone-based sales and account management service to our SME customers, who are all referrals from our partnerships. You will deliver a sound customer experience by getting to know the customer and their business so that you can structure the best possible deal for their asset finance needs. This is an office based role where you will have continual contact with both internal and external customers, therefore the ability to build relationships and prioritise work will be paramount.


· Provide solutions to meet the needs and requirements of customers in a timely manner.

· Act as a point of contact for customers, providing them with a customer centric account management service

· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships

· Be proactive in managing pipeline of incoming lead opportunities, from initial lead through to deal conclusion

· Work in partnership with the field-based team to provide a seamless service to all customers, regardless of requirements

· Working to targets and KPI's to deliver best in class service for customers and stakeholders

· Keep CRM and internal systems up to date and maintain accurate records of activity

· Liaise with end user customers to manage proposals to allow an efficient pay out

· Ensure customer deals are handed over to the sales support team for them to conclude the deal

· Work with the sales support team to unblock any barriers to concluding a deal i.e. chasing customer signed documentation

· Manage the communication of deal progression to all interested parties

· Ensure all deals are passed for pay out according to credit acceptance terms; liaise with sales, credit, finance or customer services to resolve any issues

· Internal "go to" person for external brokers and stakeholders


· A good understanding of Asset Finance, including credit skills

· Proven business development skills

· Ability to continually assess operational risks, taking account changing economic or market conditions and risk and regulatory requirements

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships through strong communication skills

· Self-motivated and passionate about achieving targets

· Accurate reporting skills
