We have fantastic opportunity to join the Change team as a Project Manager.  Within the role you will lead planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities for small and large projects in an operational environment. You will ensure that appropriate project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained, and issues are actively managed through to their successful resolution.

We are looking for a candidate with a blend of experience across Business Change Project Management and Technical/IT Project Management.  You will have a passion and commitment to deliver, have a positive can-do attitude with an excellent customer focus. The role will be based at either our Glasgow or Manchester office combined with home working. Due to the current Pandemic this will initially be a home-based role.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities for small and large projects in an operational environment, ensuring that appropriate project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained, and issues are actively managed through to their successful resolution
  • Work closely with the Business Owner/Sponsor tracking changes, reporting on milestones and producing highlight reports where appropriate
  • Manage and lead project resources to achieve objectives in line with plans, approved funding and within expected quality and timescales
  • Co-ordinate the process of successful implementation of all portfolios onto the in-house platform, liaising with all relevant stakeholders as required
  • Provide a link between Origination, Operations and Implementation to migrate customer accounts
  • Deliver small operational changes based around process and system improvements
  • Work closely with the Business Owner/Sponsor tracking changes, reporting on milestones and producing highlight reports where appropriate
  • Demonstrate compliance with agreed methodology, standards, policies and procedures to ensure strong governance
  • Manage development through projects using appropriate methodology
  • Ensure that incidents resolved by the project are recorded and tracked
  • Contribute to the overall success of the team by seeking improvements to how we work, sharing best practice and challenging processes.

Is this you?

  • Previous experience in technical project management, with a demonstrable understanding of waterfall and agile project management methodologies
  • Good understanding of implementing Lean/DMAIC principles
  • Workload prioritisation skills to manage a potentially high volume of small changes concurrently alongside supporting larger strategic projects
  • Vision and drive to support prioritisation of and deliver operational improvements
  • Excellent people and communication skills is mandatory including the ability to communicate through clear and concise documentation
  • Good understanding of risks/issues and dependencies between tasks and projects
  • Comfort with financial/investment terminology and measures would be of benefit
  • Focus on meeting deadlines, delivering benefits, problem-solving and leading others to deliver change
  • Excellent time management and workload prioritisation skills to manage potentially numerous changes or workstreams concurrently
  • Ability to work with and guide teams with diverse skill sets
  • Flexible and adaptable
