Foodservice opportunity with a wholesale exiting lockdown with exciting growth strategies

LOCATION: St Albans, Luton, Stevenage

THE COMPANY:

We are one of the largest and most successful Foodservice wholesalers in the UK with ambitious plans for further growth over the next 18 months.

As part of a National buying group - our predominant coverage areas is East/South East and we comprehensively support clients of all Foodservice sectors across this area.

Our product range includes frozen, chilled, ambient and non-food lines, and we are able to provide a one stop solution to the needs of most chefs and contract catering managers.

Our clients include restaurant, hotel, contract catering, education, leisure and healthcare clients and we are equally as effective at servicing both large chains and independent foodservice businesses.

Post pandemic begins a new era in terms of Foodservice and we aim to continue our growth plans whilst upholding the strong service levels the sector we are known for.

THE ROLE:

This position involves responsibility for managing an account base across a designated territory.

You will manage a portfolio of 150-200 independent/free trade accounts across all foodservice areas.

You will be targeted on the overall financial growth of your area, whilst upholding strong service levels and % GP.

Our bonus/commission scheme provides a realistic opportunity to earn on top of your basic salary - and can be achieved via growth of sales with existing customers in addition to winning new business.

The Foodservice sector is predicated for significant growth over forthcoming years, and we aim to attract passionate and driven individuals that can help support our growth plans whilst further developing a career in foodservice sales.

THE APPLICANT.

The successful candidate will be from a field sales background and passionate about Food and eating out of home.

  • Candidates with experience working within Foodservice wholesale will be of particular interest.
  • We also welcome applications from candidates with experience working for a Foodservice manufacturer looking to work within wholesale.
  • We are also open to speaking to candidates with Field sales experience in other sectors, who would welcome the opportunity to work within the Foodservice sector.
  • Candidates need to have a proven track record in field sales, a structured approach and a passion for food.
