Manager opportunity within an established and growing Chartered Accountancy & Advisory Practice offering responsibility for a portfolio of SME clients.


A successful growing Chartered Accountancy & Advisory Practice with a diverse SME client base and an established presence in Central Lancashire. The firm advises Entrepreneurs, Owner-Managed businesses and SME's up to c.£30m t/o, providing Audit and Accounts, Tax Advisory, Corporate Finance and fully Outsourced Financial Management solutions.


A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Accountant offering exposure to all aspects of SME Accounts & Business Advisory work and career progression.

As a Manager you will be a key member of the firm's Senior Team responsible for managing relationships with Owner-Managed and SME business clients and delivering bespoke accountancy and business advisory solutions.

Your role will involve:

  • Managing a portfolio of Owner-Managed and SME clients typically c.£100k - £5m t/o
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with Directors / Business Owners
  • Preparing Year-End Accounts and Monthly / Quarterly Management Accounts
  • Corporate Tax computations and Personal Tax returns
  • Advising clients on the performance of their business, problem solving

You will be an Accountancy professional able to demonstrate the following:

  • ACA / ACCA Qualified (or QBE)
  • Background within Chartered Accountancy Practice (at least c.5 - 7 years)
  • Significant Accounts / Tax and Business Services experience
  • Experience of advising and working closely with SME and Owner-Managed businesses
  • Knowledge of Xero and Sage 50
  • Client focused approach, able to advise clients on a range of accountancy and business matters
