Experienced IT Technician and Senior IT Technician required for a Secondary School in Leicester

Hays Education in Leicester are working in partnership with a Leicester based Multi Academy Trust who are looking to expand their team through appointing an IT Technician and a Senior IT Technician to report into the IT Manager commencing a long term career with them. They are at an exciting point in the development of their Trust as they embark on a multi-million pound project for IT refresh. The project will see the creation of a new collaborative way of working, with resilient infrastructure and improvements to both the standards of equipment and support for their students and staff. In order to support this significant investment, they have created a new single Trust IT Team. Each individual in the team will have a home site but will work as part of a single Trust IT team and travel to different sites as required, this allows them to offer their Technicians a variety of experiences and the ability to support and collaborate with other colleagues.
Your new role
This is a Trust wide role as part of the IT support team providing outstanding customer focussed IT support to academies within the Trust covering all aspects of IT support from end user to equipment and services
Reporting into the School IT Manager, you will be responsible for Work independently and as part of a team to provide day-to-day ICT support across the Trust's academies. Administrate academy websites across the Trust where required. Manage own workload through the allocation of calls via the helpdesk. Provide outstanding, customer focussed first and second line ICT support to staff and students. Maintenance of all ICT rooms and equipment. Evaluate new and existing software. Attend and contribute to ICT related meetings. Assist in the development of recording systems for ICT usage. Keep the ICT software/hardware inventories up to date. Provide technical support for staff presentations and events, and where required taking pictures or video recordings. Support in the maintenance of Academy MIS systems including taking and uploading photographs of pupils in line with Trust policies. Maintain CCTV systems, interrogating and reporting on incidents where requested to do so. Be aware of and adhere to all relevant health and safety legislation associated with duties undertaken. Commission, maintain, test and repair electronic/computer systems, associated Ensure peripherals and AV equipment complies with health & safety legislation. Install and configure software.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you will previously have worked in an IT Technician capacity, ideally in a school environment. You will be available to start as soon as possible and be looking for a full time permanent position. If you have experience of Aruba Switching this would also be a benefit. You will be a confident and professional individual and be extremely customer focused. Whilst these IT Technician roles will predominantly based within one school you may be required to travel to alternative sites within Leicester. This position is subject to full referencing and an Enhanced DBS check.
