Testing Manager - Leicester
My client, based in Leicester is looking for a Test Manager to join their team. This is a newly created role that will see you lead, implement and drive the software testing and test automation strategy ensuring quality of all the software. You will have 3 direct reports and you will be responsible for:
*Driving the test function to ensure continuous, incremental test delivery
*Lead the team to contribute towards and delver against the test strategy.
*Monitor the effectiveness of the testing function and bring about improvements through insights gained via analysis.
*Ensure that the people in quality and test roles have the appropriate skills, capability, and support to be effective in their role as well as access to learning and development to help the team progress.
*Maintain a managed and transparent view of all test activity to ensure there is a high standard across the team.
You should be able to ensure:
Procedures and guidelines are adhered to and followed.
-Knowledge is passed amongst team members and also between teams.
-Service excellence and implementing testing SLA's.
-Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
-Ensure that all reporting is relevant, removed where it is not and new reporting is implemented where necessary and regularly monitored and acted upon.
-Supplying weekly and monthly management reporting.
The idea candidate will have a formal testing qualification, and ideally a degree and other qualifications such as ITIL and Prince2.
You will have experience in testing roles and ideally 2 years in leadership role within a testing test and ideally an understanding of Project Management.
You should have experience in: SQL Server, Office, TSF and testing tolls such as Telerik or similar Automated testing tools.
This is a significant hire within the organisation and you will be expected to be in the office at least 3 days a week. In return for your skills my client is looking to pay in the region of £40000 - £45000 depending on experience as well as a generous benefits package.
