PETA Ltd are looking to recruit an Office Administrator Apprentice for GWK Engineering Limited, a family run sub-contract precision engineering company based in Worthing. There will be opportunity for the Apprentice to support with a variety of office duties from customer service and deliveries to purchasing and stock taking.

There is the intention for a full-time role to be offered to the successful and suitable candidate upon completion of the apprenticeship. There will be the opportunity to move into a more senior role with a pay rise. This will allow you to eventually be your own boss and progress with your career.

Training to be provided: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15 month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.

The Office Administrator Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties:

Phoning customers
Scanning incoming documents
Purchasing material through the MRP system
Receiving and booking material
Stock taking
Inputting inventory items; data input
Collating and organising information
Organising deliveries
Wrapping, packing and printing orders
Other general office duties

Essential Skills

The ideal Office Administrator Apprentice will have the following skills and experience:

Highly organised
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail will be critical
Good numeracy and communication skills
Ability to embrace a fast paced environment
GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade 4/C are required.

Desirable Skills

An interest in engineering is desirable but not essential
Customer service experience is beneficial
