You will be joining a leading specialist client who cater for supporting children within in a full time (LAC) looked after care - residential setting.
We are looking for enthusiastic staff who have a passion for working with children and would like to help all children in care develop and nurture their life experiences.
The home operates 24-hours each day, every day of the year, requiring round-the-clock staffing and management. Your role will be to assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose. To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager. To support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people. To undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate. To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people. As a Senior RSW you will be responsible for supervising junior home staff as directed.
What would I be doing?
Senior RSW's are required to provide care and support to children in the 7 to 18 age range, although most of the residents are likely to be in their mid-teens. The full-time shift pattern is a 24-hour shift , including sleeping-in overnight. Senior RSW's typically work two-three full shifts per week, including shifts on the weekends. There is also the requirement waking night staff. The home's aim is to provide a family-type atmosphere.

What Experience or qualifications would I need?
To be considered for this role you must have proven previous experience and a passion to work in the child care sector. Ideally you will hold or be working towards a Level 3 QCF Children and Young People's Workforce or Residential Childcare.
We are looking for candidates aged 21+.
You MUST have a full UK driving license and your own car for this role.
What would I get in return?
- £10.25 per hour plus sleep in. This equates to between £25,000-£27,500 per annum inclusive of 2-3 sleep ins per week
