Job Description

POST- Recruitment are looking for an experienced Finance Administrator on a temporary contract up until Christmas.

This is a full time role but would consider Part Time working.

£13 per hour

Reporting to the Director, you will responsible for:

  • Preparing and posting receipts, deposits, purchase orders, invoices, refunds, and other standard bookkeeping tasks on Sage
  • Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Reviewing and processing reimbursements
  • Preparing, tracking, and reconciling ledgers and budgets
  • Preparing and submitting payroll
  • Creating financial and inventory reports
  • Preparing and filing company tax documents
  • Identifying and correcting miscalculations and financial discrepancies
  • Running and updating databases
  • Developing and streamlining operational efficiencies
  • Contacting overdue accounts
  • Staying current with all regulations, requirements, and laws

Other admin tasks as directed by the team may include:

  • Answering phones and greeting guests when in the office
  • Keeping a tidy and appropriate reception area
  • Managing schedules for appointments and deadlines
  • Taking clear messages and communicating effectively with customers, clients, team members, and management
  • Developing and maintaining administrative processes
  • Keeping an organised file system

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a finance administrator or similar
  • Practical experience with accounting software (ideally Sage), spreadsheets (such as MS Excel), and databases (such as MS Access)
  • Able to quickly learn and adapt to new software and processes
  • A solid understanding of bookkeeping procedures including crediting and debiting appropriate accounts, posting entries to ledger accounts, and reconciling accounts
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well in a team environment and with upper management
  • High level of critical thinking and logical analysis
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet all deadlines
  • Always keeps the highest standards of compliance and confidentiality
