Building on an impressive history, they are now looking to diversify their portfolio and are recruiting an Operations Manager to assist them in driving the fast-paced production operation currently on site.

This role provides an exciting opportunity for an excellent Operations Manager, with experience in improving production planning and H&S, to join a forward-thinking SME business based in N. Yorkshire.

Description

This manufacturing led Operations Manager will form part of the business wide senior leadership team, reporting directly into the Site Director. They will have responsibility for several disciplines, including production, planning, quality and health & safety across all aspects of the site.

You will be tasked with delivering inspirational leadership, effective coaching and developing a culture of success through a team of 6 direct reports and a wider team of 30+.

Other day to day responsibility will include:

Delivering results on budget requirements, production and stock management
Achieving and introducing a range of KPIs
Managing core values to create a cohesive team
Developing a culture focussed on continuous improvement across the whole site
Developing high performing teams
Contributing to operational strategy
Acting as an agent for changeProfile

Successful candidates will have a strong milling and manufacturing background and a proven ability in leading and developing teams. You will provide inspirational management and possess:

A demonstrable background in manufacturing and site-wide leadership
A successful track record in mentoring and developing emerging talent
A proven continuous improvement skill set, comfortable with using data
A process orientated mindset with a strong understanding of production, quality and H&S
An innovative and customer focussed approach
An exemplary track record of health & safety delivery and improvement
IOSH or NEBOSH training is desirableJob Offer
