Reporting to the Document Production Manager the role includes proof-reading technical reports written by a team of consultants, which are sent in either via our email system or on-line report production system.
Key Activities – Document Production
* Proof review of all reports (system/word processed reports)
* Correcting errors prior to submission for peer review
* Referring and dealing with basic technical queries with consultants
* To raise issues with Document Production Manager where consultants are not submitting reports in a timely manner
* To ensure that all information on Alpha Tracker, Data-Station and/or Meridian is up to date and reports are up-loaded
* To ensure that the information saved to Alpha Tracker/Meridian/Data-Station is accurate
* To feedback to Data-Station/Meridian on issues/areas for improvement as they arise
* To produce presentations, manuals and documents as required
* Raising invoices to clients from Meridian
Key Activities – General
* To deal with client enquiries in a positive manner presenting a professional image of the organisation at all times, solving queries or escalating as required
* To attend internal and external meetings as required
* To develop and maintain close working relationships with all teams within the organisation.
* Attend training as necessary for the role
* To report IT issues as they arise, keeping Document Production Manager updated
* To put forward suggestions to improve IT systems
* To respond to emails in a timely manner ensuring accuracy and professionalism in content
* To work within the company Quality procedures raising suggestions for improvement with the Quality Manager
* To undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably required

Essential Criteria
* Excellent communication skills in writing and by telephone
* Minimum 2 years demonstrable experience of proof reading
* Excellent IT skills, to include all Office products and specifically Excel
* Logical with the ability to remain calm under pressure
* Experience of working with databases and IT-Systems
* Comfortable with dealing with clients both by telephone and email in a friendly, professional manner
Desirable Criteria
* GCSEs (A-C) must include English; A Levels are preferred
