In order to drive the next phase of our client's people strategy, an experienced HR Manager with a generalist background and strong recruitment experience is required to provide a broad ranging, hands-on HR service to a well-established, fast growing organisation with investment plans in place to double turnover in the next 3 years.

Our client, a Gold Channel Partner of IFS, have grown to become one of Europe's longest standing and largest independent providers of products, consulting services, and support for IFS solutions, delivering over 1500 projects for over 300 clients worldwide.

Offering hybrid working options, the successful HR Manager will have previous experience of leading & supporting HR activities across a business, enabling managers to successfully deliver company objectives. They must also have the ability to proactively advise on best practice HR and take a hands-on role in dealing with projects, assignments and casework. Broad areas of responsibility include employee matters, compensation and benefits, recruitment, reward, professional growth, communications, employee engagement, communication and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a comprehensive HR service across areas such as employee relations, including managing absence, disciplinaries, grievances and sickness
Measuring employee engagement and identifying areas that require improvement
Performance management: coaching managers on performance management issues and processes
Learning and development: providing guidance on development for managers and their teams, oversight of training matrix and the development of less-skilled colleagues
Training: Implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement
Recruitment and retention: working with managers to resource plan for attrition and growth, managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns
Reward advice and supporting employees on company benefits, remuneration issues and bench-marking
Policy and procedures implementation of new HR policies, procedures and processes ensuring legal compliance
Develop a communications process that ensures colleagues are engaged and informed

Skills & Experience

Strong communication skills honed in business partnering/advisory roles
Examples of adding value as both an individual contributor and active team member
A strong background in leading recruitment campaigns
Experience of dealing with senior and sometimes challenging individuals
Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the executive team.
Ability to represent the Human Resource function as part of the bigger business picture
Confident directing HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and development.
Demonstrable experience in managing change projects, redundancy, acquisition or other relevant HR projects
Experience of increasing employee engagement through Best Companies framework or something similar
Strong understanding of employment law
A professional and commercial approach to HR, with the ability to deliver high employee satisfaction, appropriate development and reward for individuals
Previous experience of working within a generalist HR function
Strong written skills with proven ability to draft policies, procedures and reports.
