Job Description

We are supporting an incredibly interesting and forward thinking company in Newmarket to recruit a Finance Manager to join an established finance team, the role involves supporting the Head of Finance with BI for strategic decision making, management of the sales ledger, purchase ledger and trial balance up to management accounts.

Start: ASAP
Duration: Permanent
Location: Newmarket, Suffolk
Salary: Negotiable DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week

Duties:

- Responsible for management of sales ledger, purchase ledger
- Trial balance up to management accounts pack review
- Cash flow management and expenditure control
- Control account reconciliation
- Processing VAT returns, EC sales lists and Intrastat returns
- Budget variance reporting analysis
- Management of expense claims
- Processing bank transactions and invoices through an integrated ERP system

Your background, Skills and Attributes:

- ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT level 4 minimum
- Experienced in reporting and presenting key information for stakeholders of the business
- Experienced Finance Assistant with experience in warehousing, wholesale or distribution industries
- An understanding of foreign currency and the implications on liquidity and purchasing
- Confident, able to excel and work under pressure in a dynamic and multi-discipline environment
