Job Description

Our award winning established client located in the Chester area has new opportunity for an IT Administrator to join their expanding team. The IT Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the company's IT network, servers, and security systems. IT Administrator is key within any organisation to ensure business continuity.

On a day to day basis, the IT Administrator will maintain our HR information systems by updating the database, managing user accounts, and resolving issues and bugs. They will respond to enquiries and educate other employees about using the software as a whole. You will also be required to help develop and implement new IT processes within the business.

Please note: The working hours for this position will be 37.5 per week to be worked Monday-Friday as well as optional hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that the IT database is up to date with changes in employee information or organisation rules. This involves creating accounts for new hires and modifying data during common situations such as employee promotions or terminations, salary changes and new tax rates

Regularly conduct system audits to guarantee data integrity, reaching out to department units or individuals to confirm employee information and check company policies. Ensuring that they comply with Data Protection Legislation.

Provide Technical Support

Perform various technical tasks depending on the needs of company employees, such as assigning user security and permission settings and helping resolve software issues. There may also be the potential to work with the IT development team to create new functionalities for the system.

Given the unparalleled access to company and employee data, the IT Administrator will be in in charge of generating reports on key metrics such as demographics and turnover rate. Additionally, the IT Administrator will work to take advantage of this data, by studying more complex trends such as highs in organisational performance.

The IT Administrator acts as a bridge between the HR department and the Product team, addressing inquiries from HR team and communicating user needs to the relevant area.

Essential Skills:

Experience working within a technical environment

Knowledge of Microsoft Server applications wired and wireless networking, desktop and server hardware, antivirus and remote support products

Excellent analytical and reporting skills

BSc in Computer Science or relevant field

Customer service focus with a genuine passion to help colleagues and customers

Having excellent communication and time management skills

Extensive experience in analysing HR performance metrics and improving processes

Experience in performing diagnostic tests and audits, as well as documenting processes

Methodical approach to troubleshooting problems

Flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the needs of the business

Willingness to learn new skills
