Role: Operations Controller

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Location: Nottinghamshire

Type: Permanent


2Fawcett are recruiting for an Operations Controller to join a company in Nottingham, on a Permanent Basis. You will deal with Export Orders, ensure all the customers orders are processed and despatched in a timely and cost-effective manner, within the relevant customer guidelines and with the correct documentation to ensure customer satisfaction.

The Role & Responsibilities of the Operations Controller

- Set up and manage all customer accounts incorporating pricing, range set-up, order processing method.

- Manage customers to agreed order and delivery methods & ensure all orders are received and processed accurately.

- Accurately process customer sales orders on NAV system

- Communicate order receipt & progress to the customer appropriately and in a timely manner

- Build and foster relationships with customers, up/x-selling on orders where possible

- To manage the dispatching and invoicing processes for customer portfolio

- Liaise with Credit Control to ensure orders are correctly processed according to credit status

- Take a lead role in the resolution of any customer queries or other problems as they arise

- Raise and track any customer credit notes, within company guidelines

- Price List maintenance

- Communicate and liaise with the Account Managers of the assigned Customer Portfolio

- Provide support and absence cover for other departments and to cover to Customer Operations Manager as required

Requirements of the Operations Controller

- Experience of working in a busy Sales & Customer Service environment with excellent Customer Services skills

- Experience of Sales Support, Enquiry to Cash Processes, aftercare, & logistics

- Good IT and computer skills, including sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel; experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV an advantage

- Highly organised and calm under pressure, with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines within a fast-paced environment

- Excellent attention to detail

- A team player with a flexible approach to work with leadership experience

- Displays pride, energy and ownership in performance of role

- Concise, clear and timely communication skills to enable close working relationships with internal functions and external suppliers and customers

- Strong analytical & numerical skills and the ability to make decisions

- Export Experience (preferably post-Brexit) of order processing and export document preparations.

Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week (8am to 5pm)
