Procurement Manager – Nottingham – £55,000pa + great benefits package

Chase & Holland are delighted to be partnered with a very successful and well-established Technology and Engineering business based in the Nottingham area as they seek to recruit for a Procurement Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this exciting new position will play a pivotal role in the establishment and optimisation of the businesses’ purchasing function. The business are reputable leaders within their field and are forecasting a continued period of growth over the next decade and beyond!

Procurement Manager Responsibilities:

· Take responsibility for a large annual spend - delivering cost savings to the business through strategic sourcing and negotiation

· Ensuring the best quality products and services are obtain for the best price in a timely manner

· Be responsible for the development and implementation of business sourcing strategies

· Utilise spend analytics, sourcing management processes and tools to rationalise and select suppliers, manage supplier relationship as well as negotiate contract pricing, terms and conditions

· Implement strategic procurement processes and policies

· Supplier succession planning

· Identify potential alternate suppliers in existing and emerging markets

· Develop a reliable supplier base as a source for innovative and efficient solutions

· Auditing suppliers to assess suitability to supply

Hours: Flexible 37.5 hours/ week

Required Skills & Experience:

· This is an integral role to the business and as such, the right person needs to have experience of working in a strategic procurement function

· The client needs someone who works cross-functionally in developing and executing sound sourcing strategies to select reliable suppliers

· You’ll ideally be degree educated and someone with good budget management experience

· Be driven to deliver change

· Have a collaborative can-do attitude to work
