We are currently recruiting for several Financial Claims Assessment Officers for Local Government based in Manchester.
The government has introduced a new grant for councils to administer over Winter 2021 called the Household Support Fund (HSF). To help with our response to the expected large demand, we are aiming to recruit a number of temporary members of staff.
We are looking for candidates who have excellent ICT, customer service and decision making skills and have experience of working in a fast paced environment. You will be making decisions on whether to award funds to households based on an application process and following a set criteria. You may also be required to speak to and/or email the applicant to gather further information or signpost them to other sources of assistance.
These roles are initially until the end of March 2022, but could be extended. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm
