Job Description

To support the operational needs of the Home as instructed by the Business Manager and/or the Registered Manager To provide a high-quality level of safeguarding and security for the Home Contact and liaise with the Police to assist with any disorder or incidents that require Police support To respond to risk and threats keeping information safe Understand how to operate all building management related systems, the CCTV system, access security system and any other system as required Providing a professional reception service, excellent customer service and maintaining positive relationships with all partners, external agencies and organisations Induction of new staff in staff safety, key security and emergency alarm procedures for staff Performing agreed reception duties and administrative tasks

Maintain a professional and welcoming presence at the reception desk

· Enabling and permitting access to Swanwick Lodge via , ensuring identification and

safeguarding checks are correct, maintaining registers for people on site - safeguarding

staff and young people

· Ensure agency staff, contractors and visitors are authorised and regularly review profiles

to ensure all information is current, relevant and up to date

· Facilitate the secure movement of staff, young people and visitors around the site utilising

CCTV and other security systems when appropriate

· Ensure the daily unlock figures are sent to secure welfare coordination unit in a timely

fashion

· Monitor CCTV if requested to do so by a manager or Duty Officer

· Answer and record all emails, telephone calls, transfer calls to the relevant member of

staff or recording of messages for staff and young people

· Oversight and co-ordination of the Swanwick Lodge calendar

· Monitor Swanwick Lodge inbox regularly, forwarding emails to appropriate recipient as required · Receive, record, and distribute incoming post · Co-ordinate and arrange internal and external post for the home · Credit pocket money and merits weekly and debit all spending from pocket money once associated paperwork has been received · Complete YP admission/ discharge registers and spreadsheets and ensure that all agencies/ staff are informed as appropriate · Maintain a record of approved contacts for young people and ensure media panels are updated as accessible and appropriate for each young person · Compile all books, shift planners and paperwork which may be required on the unit - ensure that associated logbooks are maintained, both manual and electronic · Complete handover sheet to colleagues at the end of the shift and complete associated paperwork · To carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by the line manager or the Registered Manager.
