Job Description

Jackson Hogg Supply Chain division are delighted to be supporting an organisation in Newcastle on the appointment of a Contract & Supplier Relationship Manager to join their commercial services team.

This is a full time and permanent role which has been newly-created to manage key supplier relationships by establishing trusting and positive relationships which obtain best value from strongly negotiated contracts, improved delivery efficiencies and innovation initiatives.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Fridays 08:30-16:30 with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays rising on length of service.

The Role

* Manages supply chain success to deliver business outcomes by challenging and engaging with key suppliers in
order to foster good relationships and drive through innovation, change and value

* Ensures that opportunities, benefits and services levels set out in tender submissions are monitored, reported on and ultimately delivered by the supplier.

* Co-ordinates service level and/or contractual disputes with support from operational leads and legal counsel to minimise disruption.

* Ensures that suppliers have good visibility of operational requirements through pro-active communication,
regular meetings, audits, monitoring of performance and sharing of business plans.

* Actively monitors all areas of supply and supplier risk, identifying internal and external factors as well as appropriate continuity and treatment plans

* Work with Procurement and the wider business to establish supplier profiling, categorisation and appropriate
strategies to leverage value.

The Person / Experience

* Supply Chain or supplier relationship qualification

* An experienced supplier/contract professional managing high value, critical contracts.

* Demonstrable experience in supplier relationship management.

* Experience in developing and delivering supplier and contract management strategies.

* Experience and knowledge of all compliance and supplier service management.

* Proven track record of driving value and innovation in contracts.

* Effective senior stakeholder management skills and experience are essential.

* Collaborative working style, who can challenge where needed
