Job Description

Our water industry client is seeking a QMS Manager to join their Havant based team.

The successful candidate will develop and sustain our clients' Quality Management System in line with industry standards (including: ISO 9001 / MCERTS / UKCAS), accreditation requirements and business requirements across the organisation through existing and new procedures. They will regulate, control and improve the quality of all processes throughout the business. They will manage the audit program to ensure that all non-conformities raised against certification bodies during audits are effectively corrected and independently verified.


Develop and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS)
Work with all other teams to continually improve existing processes by challenging existing practices
Provide technical/QMS support for maintaining policies, procedures and document control
Promote cross functional adoption of standard templates
Coaching others, delegating tasks to specialists and junior team members
Setting individual team member objectives and conducting/recording regular performance reviews
Manage the document periodic review process
Provide support for internal and regulatory audits and inspections as required
Maintain a detailed, monthly Cost of Quality assessment and manage resulting improvement actions
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice capacity planning vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Promote the our clients' absolute focus on prioritising safety in all aspects of their business


Ideally degree qualified
Full UK Driving licence
Use of Microsoft Office 2016, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Detailed understanding of ISO9001 / MCERTS / UKCAS requirements and principles
Good understanding of processes, including HS&E best practice, in water treatment
Can demonstrate application of Lean/Continuous Improvement tools/techniques
Experience within the Water or Utility sector.
Knowledge of IFS works asset management system software.
Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and application within the Water Industry desirable


Salary up to £40k DOE
Holiday entitlement of 24 days plus bank holidays (increasing by one day a year to 29 days after 5 years. Plus 1 additional day awarded if no sick days are taken in the previous year.)
Pension contributions - employer will double employees contribution. ie. 5% =10%
