Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Band 7 Procurement Manager to work within the NHS based in Hertfordshire, St Albans.
Contract – Full time – Monday - Friday
3 month initial contract – ongoing on a month to month basis after
Rate of pay: £30+ per hour
Negotiable depending on experience
About the role
This is an important procurement role which requires robust stakeholder engagement skills, knowledge and expertise. The Procurement Manager will act as a driver of change to support the Associate Director in achieving the future vision of the new function.
The post holder will have detailed knowledge of Public Sector procurement, supply chain management, contracting, SRM, tactical buying operations and complex procurement projects. The role also requires an individual with a proven track record of commercial acumen and an ability to successfully represent the Procurement function within each individual member Trust. Prior and effective stakeholder engagement experience will be critical either in a medium sized organisation or NHS setting.
Support the lead “customer service manager” for our trusts, ensuring end customer satisfaction and representation
Align with standardisation and collaboration of procurement across member Trusts and the wider supply chain
Lead, inspire and drive a culture of continual improvement, ensuring that business processes are effective and efficient and enable the highest possible levels of service quality to be provided
Honours degree or equivalent
MCIPS Qualified or working towards MCIPS
